If you are a LONG time Rocket League enthusiast you should know who Dappur is. This guy is by far top 5 smartest Rocket League players out there. The guy is SO good in transition it's disgusting, especially in 1v1 situations. You won't see this guy go for flip resets or anything nutty UNLESS he knows it will gives him an obvious advantage in the situation. Dappur once was one of the best 1v1 players in North America and it definitely helped him in his early RLCS career. The dude is also 100 percent unfucking tiltable. No matter what the score says Dappur is just in a constant state of chill. But my man disappeared. I knew he didn't qualify for RLCS, but I didn't know (if my research is right) we haven't seen him in the big leagues since Season 5! I also noticed he stopped streaming as much. I guess his focus was purely on Rocket League and it fucking showed. AfterThought is now an RLCS team for season 9. Now it is obvious that he got a lot better in his three's play and that is saying a lot for someone that was already pretty damn good when he DIDN'T qualify. Now that he has, I have a whole bunch of scenarios going on through my giant brain if season 9 gets as wonky as season 8 is. Think about this....Dappur, Rizzo, Squishy? TOO much flash for you? Well, how about Dappur, JKnaps, Squishy (this is would be a productive team)? I know this is just fan theory, but come on, roster predictions are fun as hell. I am sure that it is way too early to be doing this so I will stop.....for now. However, once the promotion tournament is over and we know the destiny of G2 and Cloud9 I will totally go back to roster fan theory.

Rizzo and Sizz have competition. And they have no idea yet. Hope you guys enjoy.
I saw that Scump was live today, and whenever he is live and his stream title contains the word "scrim" I get absolutely glued to my monitor. On top of that he is playing against former and long time teammate Crimsix which means this shit is bound to be great. Well....Huntsmen got blasted by Crim and the rest of the Dallas Empire. Empire was just shredding Huntsmen in 80% of their rotation attempts. Sadly they had no answer for Empire only winning 1 game in their 6 game set. Now does this loss hold much water? Not really. What I did take from this scrim was that Crimsix was looking like Crimsix of the ye olde days. Killing EVERYTHING. I am also very impressed with how Shotzzy is playing Modern Warfare. He is actually playing this game very fast and consistently that way. The craziest thing? IT'S WORKING which shouldn't really be a thing in this game. Just another Halo created future COD goat I guess. Like I said I'm not too worried about my boys on the Huntsmen. I totally believe when it comes to these two teams they are matched in talent, but what will set these two apart when the CDL season opens up is how well they practice. AKA MORE PRACTICE HUNTSMEN!
I can't believe after EVERYTHING that went down, there are still DIEHARD OpTic fans. Not saying if you are a fan you shouldn't be, but really? What is there to be excited about with this team? 99% of OpTic's personality is no longer there since the Infinite Esports/Immortals Gaming disaster. Scump, Karma, Crimsix, AND THE HEART AND SOUL HECZ are gone. OpTic is a dead organization and I can not wait for the Huntsmen or Empire to play Optic in the future CDL matches. Nonetheless, we are talking about this OpTic fans tweet. This brilliant specimen decided to spice up Twitter with an out of the clouds take that Crimsix OWES his personality to the OpTic brand. Now I am not going to lie the Crimsix that I knew from the Halo days (2011) is a COMPLETELY different person from the Crimsix now, but no fucking shit. Time does that, people change. When he was on Complexity during his Black Ops 2 reign of terror he posted a ton of content to keep his fan base posted on what was going on with him and the squad. Hmmm....Sounds a lot like the Crimsix that was on OpTic who posted that same kind of content. Granted, in his Complexity vlogs he did lack a bit of "on camera" personality, but once again as he posted more, he grew on that and eventually got really fucking good at it. OpTic did not give him his personality or confidence you balloon animal making clown. Crim consistently putting himself out there through the years gave him that. I am not a prankster. I do NOT like messing with people......but today was different. Today was my day off from streaming. On my off days I normally try to devote more time to this site, but once I caught up on everything I decided I wanted to dabble with some free play while chilling with some peeps over at The ASAP Weekly Podcast Discord (https://discord.gg/94cJGfe if you care to join). As I was being godlike in free play, Wabbits asked if I was able to sub in for his team for this months ASAP Weekly Rocket League Tournament. I, being a great human being, said I would gladly help out this wounded animal known as Wabbits and said I would sub in. Moments before the first match started the person I substituted for (Dave) made it online to play. MY GIANT CONTENT CREATING BRAIN sensed that this was a great moment for a friendly prank for my friend Combo who was organizing and streaming this tournament. The plan was to have Dave change his in-game name and profile picture to be EXACTLY what mine was. I would play in the match and as soon as the first goal happened we would execute "The Swap". What happened was something I had to make a short video for. That's as far as I am willing to go into the story on this blog, you got to watch the video (shown above) to see the end result of this prank. I want to thank Combo for running and streaming these tournaments be sure to show him some love over at Twitch.tv/BU_Combo he does great work for the Rocket League scene. When I started the stream today I was Champion 2 Division 2. I felt like the sky was the limit, nothing was going to stop the fucking freight train known as...well...me. On top of that, the day prior, I was playing absolutely out of my fucking mind, So when I hit the "Start Streaming" button on OBS today I only expected greatness....we got greatness all right. Greatness in the form of me failing absolutely everything. Many whiffs, positioning was a dumpster fire, the posts (Malone) were not friendly, I could not get a read on this ball, and I had at least 3 own goals. These aren't the own goals that come from when someone just beams it at you from in the box and you get contact on it, but it still goes in kind of of own goals. I am talking Flash (of the ASAP Weekly Podcast) style of own goals. Like I had years to plan a clear, but instead the ball slow rolls into me, bounces, and goes straight in the net. I haven't seen myself play this bad since my Platinum days. If you don't know me well then let me tell you something, I DON'T KNOW when to quit or take a break. I always feel like the next game will be better. NOT AT ALL the case. I was playing some bad I had a Diamond player come into my channel to tell me I was trash....it was absolutely hilariously fucking unreal. Regardless, I am extremely confident I WILL be back to my normal self by next stream. I mean come the fuck on. It can't get worse. Can it? By the way as of this post......DIAMOND 3 DIVISION 3. I love the stealing content debate. It's one that really get the mind vibrating with thoughts. It's a debate that I feel EVERYONE has a different definition of what stealing content is or what the "line" is in regards to what's stolen content and what's not. What inspired this conversation is Sports streams. What? Are we talking sports ball? Yes we are. I have no problem with some scumbag that's just screen capturing a Pay-Per-View event and trying to be the unidentified Robin Hood of Twitch. My issue is someone screen capturing a sporting event or even esports event and LITERALLY poo smearing their YouTube channel's URL all over the screen. If this person was AT LEAST "REACTING" to what's going on I would say he/she is technically making some form of content that is their own. That's still a stretch though. Now, I do occasionally watch the RLCS on my stream, but once again I am physically in the video and I do react and discuss what is going on throughout the event. The BEST part is the RLCS/Psyonix ALLOWS people to do "viewing parties" of their events. If this was not the case I would respect and understand the fact that Psyonix wants to control the viewership of the content that THEY CREATED. If you do have permission to show events then Godspeed and go nuts. All I am trying to say is don't be a content thief, you look like a desperate loser. And besides, people that steal content are doomed to a very special place between Satan's sweaty ass cheeks. I'll just leave you with that mental image. You are very welcome.
If you follow Rocket League you know who Scrub Killa is. He is the reigning RLCS World Champion, and for good reason. He's mechanically sound, he has fast decision making skills, and he just overall shreds. Being on the younger side of the RLCS (16 Years of old to be exact) he does lack some maturity. With this lack of maturity comes the classic accusations of being "Toxic". These claims will mostly be found on Twitter (per usual) and it seems that Scrub Killa embraces these claims to some aspect. Which I completely love. I don't personally believe he is as toxic as the community is saying, I think it's an act.....well mostly. Scrub has one of the Top 5 Rocket League streams in this community. It's not just because he is great at this game. It's because he knows how troll-like this community can be and he is able to capitalize on this. I see this a lot from European Rocket League streamers (take notes North America). Seriously though, I'll give you people an example, and it is a good one. Scrub is known for his raging, his raging is absolute content. Obviously, he knows the chat starts pumping when the anger rises...so what does he do? Makes an emote of course. This golden emote "scruubReformed" is just Scrub's face with some angel wings behind it. It's perfect, he starts the stream preaching that he has changed,...he has "REFORMED" and is no longer toxic. Just for him to start raging maybe 3 or 4 matches in. Like I said it's GOLD. Now am I saying that he should be able to get away with being a nut case here and there? If he ONLY represented himself when streaming, I would say HELL YEAH, but he is supported by Vitality and all of their sponsors so if I was him for my paychecks sake I'd be a little more careful. That's just my "professional" way of thinking. Majority of my thinking hopes Scrub stays the pace with what he has been producing because what he does is entertaining, and that is EXACTLY what I want out of my streamers.....ENTERTAINMENT! Today I decided to stream...like every weekday (4:30-7:30pm EST) . Normally, I would have done a longer stream, but I had things to finish up in regards to this godlike website (you know WE got an Esports Empire to build and shit). Nonetheless, got up to Champ 2 Division 3 with one of my mods (Mason) in doubles and played some very good threes matches with Flash and Allize. Shit was going well....until THE SCAM ATTEMPT. I was finishing up a match and I received a Steam message from someone I used to game with a ton back in the day and who was on my friends list. Since I had this person on my friends list I had some trust. This person (who I believed had his account hacked) asked if I wanted to play in an ESL tournament. NOT the first time someone has asked me this, so no red flags. I basically said sure and asked for the time this tournament was going down. Quick answer "12 minutes". I was given a link......now I know I shouldn't click links, but this guy was on my friends list, we've played on stream many times, and the URL looked good. MEANWHILE in chat, Wabbits (of the ASAP Weekly Rocket League Podcast) is telling me it's a scam. I basically heard him out and decided I'll click the link and if it asks for my Steam log-in I am dipping the fuck out....as I normally do. LUCKILY, ESL must of bought the domain because the sketchy link (that's suppose to send you to a fake ESL site that then asks you to log-in with Steam) redirected me to the real site. I changed my password just to be extra certain. I later learned that if you were to be dumb enough to log-in to this website with your Steam log-in your inventory would be wiped clean.
This is just a PSA.....DON'T TRUST ANYONE! I GOT LUCKY in all seriousness, the link itself could of fucked me. Regardless, WE ARE GOOD and DANDY just want to thank everyone for giving me the heads up. Above is an image from Reddit of what the conversation kind of looks like. Sent to me by my Rocket League Inventory Security Guard Wabbits.
I'm going to come right out and say I am not at ALL a college esports fan. I do like that it exists and will ALWAYS want it to be a thing. My issue with college sports and esports in general is it's normally just a fucking mess and one or two players just devour the competition. Not hating on people who enjoy college shit shows, but it's not for me. With that said I did catch the National Championship finals and LONG story short, Akron SHIT on everyone. Most impressive was the domination came while looking like they were going to job interviews. Was it fun to watch? In my opinion, not really. Was it all bad? No. The stage was actually amazing and I wish RLCS would use this as their setup. It will also be pretty cool to see some of these players hopefully move forward with their Rocket League careers if they so choose to. One day, these kids are going to look back and say "Hey, it all started with some khakis, a stage, and Rocket League." Congrats to Akron for their Victory. I am pretty certain we will see them again tearing up the CRL.....just work on your on stage presence.
