Valorant beta has been out for a number of weeks now and as great as the game is, the streaming side of things is SO fucking tainted right now. Why is this you ask? Well in order to get the beta you have to watch a Valorant stream with "Drops Enabled". A little side note I watched a Valorant stream for probably like 15 minutes, left the stream, and a week later I got a key in my inbox. Not sure if that's how that is suppose to work. Nonetheless with this game being so hyped up a ton of people are making "fake" twitch accounts in order to increase their chances at receiving a beta key. We also are being blessed by the 24/7 Valorant VOD streamers who I believe are actual piles of shit. Their viewership is so fake, yet dominate the Valorant category on Twitch. It's not a good look....at all. My only glimmer of hope right now is that I realize this game isn't going to be a beta for much longer and the drops game will be over when Valorant officially launches.

I have been streaming and creating content for 12+ years and never have I seen such a wave of complete pieces of shit coming in lately a demanding subscriptions from their viewers. As I ALWAYS say these human shaped dinkleberries have a right to say whatever the fuck they want, but you got to deal with the aftermath of your stupidity. Well InvaderVie, Congrats you spewed stupidity and you made it to a BME blog. I won't lie when I saw this clip the word "cunt" may or may not have entered my brain. I can not believe this woman is stated that we, as viewers, SHOULD GIVE her a subscription because it would support her with creating MORE content. I've looked at her twitch VOD's and she basically just sits around surrounded by plush toys looking like a weebs wet dream. I would say that's BARELY creating content.
Whenever I play any game and I decide to stop the sweat, stop the bloodshed, stop the slaughtering of innocent lives in ranked play I like to dabble with a bit of casual/social/unranked playlists. The definition of a "casual/social/unranked" playlist to me is basically a wonderful fucking melting pot of random players with varying ranks and experience. In past Call of Duty and Halo games for example when you ran a public (unranked) game and you were an above average gamer you could just murder and take over the match with little effort. Of course, with it being unranked you may get that one in ten games where YOU would get shit on by people that were in fact better than you. And I really really liked that factor. I liked the fact that even though I was getting dunked on I was still able to get the opportunity to play against these higher tier players. To me, it's like getting a taste of where you need to be at skill wise without naturally getting there in ranked.
Games like Rocket League fail to understand this concept in some aspects and I learned this pretty recently after convincing my co-worker and friend Andrew aka "Prune Guy" to purchase Rocket League and play some casual matches with me. I don't play casuals often, but I do play them enough to have what I think is a Champ 1/2-ish range in casuals. This COMPLETELY FUCKED Andrew's experience, because (if my understanding is correct) since I am of that casual rank the game tries to match Andrew and I with opponents that are equal to or close to MY rank. Andrew has 20 minutes of TOTAL play time and you can only imagine the frustration he had when he was getting dusted by people. I know there is no TRUE right answer for this issue and I have heard great points for both sides of the argument. If the game favored Andrew's rank then I would be dusting kids and NOW they are having a terrible time. The only answer I see is to drop the MMR/Rank system completely in casuals and just role the dice when it comes to matching players. Nothing wrong with a bit of chaos right? The Regional Finals concluded a week ago (ish) and our winners were Dignitas for the European region and G2 Esports for the North American region. SO before I sound like a COMPLETE asshole....congrats to them. It was fun to watch the G2 bounce back from last season to this season. Also nice to see ViolentPanda out-place his "more accomplished" former teammate Kaydop. The question is, DOES it REALLY MATTER? Financially abso-fucking-lutely. DIG and G2 grabbed some extra cash in their victory from the comfort and safety of their homes (Fuck you COVID-19) but personally their victories don't mean much. I need to see how you play AGAINST ALL of the teams, on LAN, on the biggest stage, under the brightest lights. As I brilliantly stated in The ASAP Weekly Discord I feel like this season can be summarized as "That was a cool chapter, but we'll never get the last one". Of course this is none of the players fault, they just chose a weird time to win. We can only hope that G2 and DIG keep this look going into the next season of RLCS, get to LAN, and win when it matters at WORLDS. By the way......ARJU is NUTS!
