It is no secret that I am a MEGA OpTic. It's also no secret that I do some contracted coaching work for Cloud9. With that all out there when OpTic and C9 faced each other in the GRAND FINALS of WORLDS, not a drop of my being was rooting for Cloud9 (Sorry guys, love ya though). Cloud9 was dumping on OpTic in the first set of games. I was tired of watching Bound not fucking miss a damn shot, I was tired of him even when he died because he was doing the most possible amount of damage in any given situation setting someone up for easy clean ups left and right. The man played like a 10-year veteran and it's just his rookie year. It also didn't help that the first set of games Lucid and Trippy were playing the worst Halo I have ever seen them play ALL YEAR. Incredibly, All of OpTic played insanely well and beat Cloud9 4-1 in the second set to win the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Even got a delicious steak dinner in game 2 to go with the real-life steak dinner I'm sure they got after to celebrate this absolute DUB. How? How could OpTic play so poorly in the first set and play so dominate the second? Nicotine? Drugs? A good peep talk? No OpTic fans. It was bad juju that I casted on Cloud9... by popping on my Cloud 9 jersey AFTER OpTic lost the first set. Do I want thanks? Nope not a credit guy. Never have been and never will be. I'll take an OpTic job whenever though.

Why Old School RuneScape or OSRS is still popular today may be a mystery to some, but those who play know that the combination of simplicity and nostalgia have led the game to be more popular than it’s modern counterpart. There are no fancy graphics, high frame rates, or crazy abilities and macros in this MMORPG, but OSRS has a charm and addicting gameplay loop that keeps players coming back. There is a saying amongst RuneScape players: "you never quit, you just go afk". As someone who has played the game on and off since RuneScape Classic this statement absolutely rings true. I have personally quit the game several times - even for years at a time - and always find myself coming back. The game is essentially a point and click medieval adventure game with quests to do, skills to train, bosses to slay and friends to be made. OSRS is a game that I typically play on the side while doing something else - like watching Twitch or YouTube or reading a blog on Bad Manners Esports. What is nice about the game is that you can devote as little or as much attention to it as you like. Want to AFK and chop trees? Go for it. Want to get sweaty and risk your gear in high stakes PVP? Go for it. There is truly something for everyone in RuneScape. Recommending OSRS to a friend is a difficult task, because it feels akin to recommending someone pick up a drug habit. To be clear the game is pixelated crack. BUT, if you want to enjoy some pixelated crack check out https://oldschool.runescape.com/. For my personal recommendation (as well as most of the community's) try the RuneLite game client which is linked on the official OSRS home page. AuthorCarbon Monoxide NASCAR has never been a MUST watch for me. However, If I'm doing shit around the house and want something playing in the background to fill me with testosterone while I scrub God damn cheese off a plate because I got lazy and didn't clean my plate after I used it. I totally get why the sport is slowly dying. It's boring to a ton of people and more often than not its boring to me too. Left turn, left turn, and... incoming left turn. At least we all can agree that the crashes are dope (when no one dies) and NASCAR does need to be given a little credit when it comes to strategy though because there is actually a lot to it. Tire wear, fuel amounts, when to pit when not to pit, stuff like that is where the sport gets interesting to me. I know, why the NASCAR blog? Somehow, the YouTube algorithm put NASCAR in my face. Not just normal NASCAR, but uncensored radio chatter that would never normally see the light of day but let me tell you, this shit is entertaining. A MUST WATCH. There should be a NASCAR "Redzone" channel where they just air the race with no commentators, but just live feed the radio chatter of drivers that are going through some shit. I JUST saved NASCAR. I haven't been reminded of the tmartn csgo lotto apology video in a very long time, but when Sizz posted his "What happened with NRG" video that's all I could think about. The video opens with him saying nothing, with his facial theatric saying "this is going to be a tough one" and out of Meryl Streep's playbook he reaches behind to his neon light of the NRG logo and pulls the plug on it. BRAVO baby, mood most definitely set. Ball busting aside NRG has made the decision to remove Sizz as the head coach. I'm not sure how anyone ESPECIALLY him, is shocked by this. NRG has had the rockiest spree of placings I have ever seen in the RLCS. This also is going down with what I expect to be one of the most expensive rosters in the RLCS. It's been 2 years with the roster of GarrettG, JSTN, and Squishy and until recently were objectively the best three players in NA. Let's not forget the bar is set very high for this org when you know that one time, they won WORLDS. If I was the NRG GM, I probably would have made the same move I'm much more open to dropping my coach, then possibly losing one of these all-time players. I'll be honest, as a Sizz fan, when I heard Sizz was going to coach this team I was pretty confused. I never thought of him as a "X's and O's" kind of Rocket League player during his time competing, but more of a mood/energy controller. "Vibes" baby. In the end, yes it sucks to drop people, but when you join the 1997 Chicago Bulls to coach untouchable players, coaching normally goes first when things go south.
Amouranth has been at the center of a lot of my jokes in the past year or two. And I take none of those back, however I can also be a fucking human and recognize what she is going through right now. If legit (which I believe it is) this has to be one of the shittiest things any person can go through. Let's break this shituation down. Amouranth, the poster woman of the "pools, hot tubs, and beaches" category on Twitch in a very emotional stream announced she is married and is experiencing extreme abuse from her husband. I don't believe she said anything physical has happened, but the verbal abuse is MOST certainly there. While on this live stream she had her husband on speaker phone for all to hear, to seemingly discuss their living situation. He was absolutely trying to belittle her through the whole conversation, like a dickhead. At one point she stated that she did not want to leave her home thus leaving the dogs with him because he previously and ALLEGEDLY threatened to kill them. On top of this whole thing, she posted text message from him which just show that he has been the puppet master to this whole thing. He controlled everything the streams, finances, her, etc. In these messages you can see pure small penis, tough man rage at its finest. In these texts he stated that in his small wiener rage he dumped a shit ton of her money out of her account. The images will be posted below...read all of them. I'm not an Amouranth fan, but NO ONE deserves to be treated like this. I hope all goes well for her moving forward and she can finally get her life back from this piece of shit.
I don't have answers or a serious view on the fossil fuel "crisis". I like cars that shoot flames out the exhaust and go fast, I like my computers, my phone, and devices that were created from some facility that just pumps shit right into our atmosphere, and monster trucks are cool god damn it. I will give myself some credit I am very financially invested in "green" technologies I find it interesting, but I also understand that we can never truly rid away from fossil fuels.... Well until we truly harness algae as a fuel source (google it, very interesting stuff). Either way, I don't really care or have a passion for this topic, but the internet did find me two Hot Topic wearing, hissing under the stairway looking ass humans that do apparently care about this subject. These two peas in a daddy-issued pod thought that taking care of this planet and bringing LIGHT to oil induced climate change was to throw Heinz tomato soup at Van Goghs famous sunflower painting. Because...you know...they have a link somehow. Not only did these two-throw soup at a 75-million-dollar painting, these punk rocker rejects also glued their hands to the wall in a historical sign of solidarity. Thankfully the painting suffered no damage due to the fact it was behind glass. Yeah, the Tomato soup literally wipes clean off with some Windex. Worth the jail time and fines for sure. Photo Credit: Rocket-League.com The 2022 RLCS season has arrived and so has the 2022 RLCS team decals. Have no fear, I will get to my PROPER decal tier list at some point, but we have to bring up the leopard in the room... (nailed that joke) and that is the tragedy (or genius) of the Vitality team decals. If you don't know, Vitality is a one of the most tenured and distinguished esports organizations out there. They just won ESL Pro League in Counter-Strike and for a big chunk of Rocket League's history Vitality was a juggernaut, WORLD CHAMPIONS at one point. You have to imagine the shock from the Rocket League community when this design graced their eyes. This design is the embodiment of rebellion and possibly some LSD usage. The internet had a field day with this. Rumors spread that Vitality waited to the very last second to submit a design to Psyonix and this was the results of the panic. It's such a bad design that it seems intentionally awful. It's so awful that the meme has grown to the point that people have been posting screenshots of themselves purchasing AND playing with these decals. The meme even got me. I just had to purchase this piece of Rocket League history. I actually would not be shocked if we looked at the sales of these decals and Vitality is in the top 3 sales at this rate. Well done procrastination...well done.
With things like sexual assault being part of the story we have to be clear. It is awful that this has happened, and if all these allegations come to be without a shadow of a doubt true, then I hope every charge is given to the losers responsible for such an act. We also have to make it clear that there is thankfully an investigation going on and no matter how mega-brain you think you are, none of us (other than those involved) will have the full story until all evidence and information is collected.
All that being said, let's get into this bitch. Mizkif a IRL mega-streamer as stated in the above paragraph is involved in some crazy shit. Specifically (allegedly) trying to cover-up said sexual assault. During all this news IcePoseidon drops the hammers on Mizkif with leaked PRIVATE messages sent to him from Mizkif via Twitter back in 2018. The tweet simply wrote "Mizkif, I brought you into this world, now I'm taking you out." Savage stuff, but we also got to say that IcePoseidon in my opinion, is a fucking crazy person.
I just have to say, the shit Mizkif is saying in these DM's is absurd, but I am also a strong believer in private messages being private. I think the only time private messages should be just thrown out there like that is when you are being threaten, harassed, or some terrorist shit is being spoken of. Obviously, as in life EVERYTHING is case-by-case. If two edge lords are going at it privately and it is for a lack of better words "consensual" go for it. But if you bring that garbage to a public setting then I hope you deal with the societal consequences of that. Fast forward a handful of weeks Mizkif has returned to streaming after smartly taking some time off. First things he does is come in and open his stream with saying he has been having nightmares about everything. Very quickly trying to play victim while pulling on his fanbases heart strings. Only hours later to make a "cover up" joke which I will one hundred percent admit I did chuckle at this clip, but I am also aware that it wasn't the time to do so. At this rate Mizkif needs to delay his stream so a PR guy can review EVERYTHING before it goes public. But what do you or I actually know, the guy still after ALL OF THIS has more than 70,000 subscribers on Twitch...so at the end of the day he wins.
Many of you readers may think that The Halo World Championship (HWC) is the moment for PLAYERS to shine. Wrong. This is the moment for me and my historical, yet GIANT Halo brain to be put on center stage for all to envy. HWC is right around the corner (October 20-23) and coming right off the heels of a very telling HCS Orlando some would say predicting the results of Worlds would be fairly easy. Not so fast noobs. It's super easy when you got my brain.
Let's start with the winner of worlds, after how absolutely in control Optic Gaming was ALL of HCS Orlando I am confident that this is their world championship to lose. It's bananas to think that Lucid and Trippy are going from winless careers to winning Orlando and then fast forward a few weeks later and having the possibility of winning the biggest tournament the Halo scene has ever seen. We all (with working brains) know Optic will win this, that was the easy part, but what about the two and three spot of this event? Let's crack this code. I have Sentinels in the second-place spot, followed by Cloud9 in the third spot. What? you ask? How can that be? Well, Sentinels had a less than spectacular placing for "their standards" at Orlando which was 4th, but Snakebite, Royal 2, and Lethul are built for these kinds of moments. Sentinel's individual performances always seem to explode at Worlds. Always has, and always will. They also have a history of placing poorly at an event and then going on to win the very next event. With that said, I still don't see them winning worlds, but let us hope they make things very interesting when playing the likes of Optic. Optic vs Sentinels is starting to give me FB vs Carbon vibes. Just going to throw that out there. I'm not going to sit here and pretend I know anything about tough Mario Maker levels. I mean shit, I'm a 32-year-old man who is still on the first playthrough of Super Mario World (shout out to the Nintendo Switch). This man completed a Mario Level (that he created by the way) that makes "I Wanna Be the Boshy" look like a walk in the park. I had ZERO idea that something like this was going on and I wish I did because this seemed very reminiscent of the TimTheTatMan pursuit of his first win in "Fall Guys" back in 2020. A documented struggle/journey for all to witness. I'm a big fan of humans proving a bunch of people wrong and ChainChompBraden did this in the most "fuck you" fashion I have ever seen. He didn't just complete this level, shut the haters up, and move on, this savage made a 45+ minute video of his journey and kept receipts of the people that doubted him. Nobody was safe. The way it should be. |
